The science behind Bouncyband®
The Yerkes-Dodson law originally developed by psychologists Robert M. Yerkes and John Dillingham Dodson in 1908 proves that there is a direct correlation between mental stimulation and focus. It states that people achieve their optimum level of intellectual performance when they are neither over-stimulated nor under-stimulated. Anxiousness, restlessness and frustration cause performance to suffer. The subtle yet playful motion of fidgeting eases the irritation of sitting still by releasing excess energy, anxiety and stress. Conversely, when your under-stimulated due to fatigue, boredom or disinterest your performance also suffers. Motion and fidgeting stimulates energy levels ensuring optimal performance while you work. Bouncyband's product line is based on the science of Yerkes-Dodson assisting with movements to motivate your mind and maximize your focus.
